Sister Nicolette Etienne, OSB
Sister Nicolette Etienne, OSB, was born December 7, 1961 in Tell City, IN to Paul and Kay Etienne. She has 4 brothers and 1 Sister. She graduated from Tell City High School in 1980, BS in education at Brescia University, MS in education at Indiana University and a certification in administration from IUPUI.
Sister started teaching in 1984 and entered Our Lady of Grace Monastery in 1986. This year she celebrates being a Sister of St. Benedict for 40 years!
Sister has served as a principal for 7 years — 6 years at Our Lady of Lourdes and 1 year at Holy Name. She served as Vocation Director for her community for 8 years. She is currently in her 22nd year as the middle school Religion teacher at Holy Name Catholic School in Beech Grove while continuing to serve on the Board at Roncalli High School.
When not praying or teaching, Sister enjoys golfing, making Rosaries, walking/hiking in nature, reading and watching IU football and basketball, Notre Dame Football, Cubs baseball, Colts football and Pacer basketball.
